For over 10 years, Ricardo was an associate lawyer at one of the leading law firms in the Dominican Republic, specializing in energy law and project finance, as well as arbitration, antitrust, and agency and distribution. He has significant experience in the civil, commercial, and real estate litigation before the Dominican courts and in commercial arbitration proceedings before the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CRC-CCPSD).

In his professional practice, Ricardo has advised domestic and foreign investors, financial institutions, development banks and multilateral organizations in large-scale investment projects, including mergers and acquisitions and project financing, particularly in conventional and renewable energy (wind, solar), oil and gas projects. He has also successfully represented major local and international companies in antitrust matters, including investigation and sanctioning proceedings before the regulatory authority (Pro-Competencia).
